Service Description
A repeat slightly condensed version of last years Demystifying Glazes course. This course aims to demystify the ceramic glazing process and will cover: - Why glaze and why make your own - Health and safety for you and others - What makes a glaze and what role it plays - Common materials, oxides and colourants, availability and substitution - Glaze selection - Mixing and testing glazes - Applying glazes, brush, spray, bubble, dip/pour etc Note: A third optional two hour session will concentrate on crystal glazes and include participation in a glaze firing. Look for the Crystal glaze course listed. This course consists of 2 classes of 2 hours duration over two Sunday afternoons. Suitable for beginners and intermediate potters and requires only a minimal awareness of glazing. Course tutor: Kevin Black All materials are included in the course fee. Course held at the MCP club rooms.
