Service Description
Prerequisite: You need to have done one of Kevins previous glaze courses. Google the term "Crystal glaze" and you will be presented with a range of startling images. Normally, in order to create these special effects requires access to gas kilns or other reduction atmospheres but crystal glazes are readily achieved in a standard electric kiln. This short course will build on your glaze development knowledge and introduce you to this fascinating area. You will learn how the glaze works, how best to achieve these dramatic effects and what special requirements need to be considered. Completion of the course will entitle you to join in on a guided group crystal glaze firing
